January

So much has happened so quickly! Does Tita really not understand how important this tradition is? This tradition has run in the de la Garza family for several generations, and my reckless youngest daughter will certainly not be the first to break it! Under no circumstances will I permit Tita to marry. She is the youngest daughter, and her only duties are to help maintain this ranch and care for me as I grow older. My other two girls are so obedient and polite, but Tita has no respect for me at all. What nerve that girl has! I cannot believe she has brought a man who hopes to marry her onto my ranch! The young man came seeking marriage, so I arranged for him to marry my oldest daughter, Rosaura.

  1. Mama how could you make the love of my life marry my sister! You are destroying me and your traditions are stupid! I do not wish to be bound to you my whole life: a women who will call me disobedient and rude. My dream is to find true love, marry, and have children of my own.

  2. Tita, you're being absolutely ridiculous! You knew that you couldn't marry because you're the youngest daughter, and you defiantly chose to ignore this tradition!

  3. OF COURSE I IGNORED YOUR STUPID TRADITION! It is inhumane, evil, and it must be stopped for good!

  4. That tradition has been in my family for generations, Tita! How dare you talk about it so disrespectfully! As long as you live on my ranch, you MUST abide by my rules.
